Rebecca J. White, Ph.D., James W. Walter Distinguished Chair of Entrepreneurship and Director of the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Tampa, was elected to our Board of Directors in 2018 and was named Chairperson of the Board in 2024. With more than three decades of executive leadership experience, Dr. White brings invaluable expertise in governance, strategy, and organizational development. During her career in executive leadership, governance training and strategy, Dr. White has built two nationally ranked entrepreneurship programs, cultivating the development of the next generation of business leaders. Her work has included advising companies on vertical integration through strategic acquisitions, and on digital innovation. She previously served on the board of directors of NorthStar Bank, both as Director and Chair of the Assets and Loans Committee and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee. Recognized for her transformative impact, Dr. White has received prestigious awards, including the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Freedoms Foundation Leavey Award for Excellence in Private Enterprise Education. Dr. White received an MBA and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech University.
